Extracorporeal Pressure Activation Therapy (EPAT) uses pressure waves to stimulate shear stress on the tissue where it’s applied. Over time, this results in new blood vessel formation, growth factor release, and stem cell activation. The combination of these factors results in healing and a speedy recovery. When used alone, EPAT doesn’t involve needles, it has no down time and in painful conditions, most people leave the office with less pain than when the walked in. We are one of only a handful of clinics nationwide that uses both shock wave modalities (EPAT and ESWT). This combination yields superior results than using either method alone. Shock wave therapy can also be used in conjunction with some of our biological interventions to truly maximize healing.
What to expect: This therapy typically takes 30-45 minutes. Most people walk out feeling better than when they came in.
Extracorporeal Shock Wave Therapy (ESWT) uses an acoustically generated high energy wave that creates a shear stress on the tissue where it’s applied. This results in new blood vessel formation, growth factor release, and stem cell activation, thus paving the way for tissue regeneration.
What to expect: This therapy typically takes 30-45 minutes. Most people walk out feeling better than when they came in.
